Creamy Sweet-Sour Dressing


1/2 c. cider vinegar or wine vinegar
2/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 t. salt
several dashes freshly ground pepper
1/2 t. celery seed
1 T. chopped fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, chives, etc.)

Blend the vinegar, sugar, milk, salt, pepper, celery seed, and herbs in a small bowl until all the sugar is dissolved. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
