1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter; melted
1 large egg; slightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350.
Combine oatmeal, brown sugar, flour and salt.
In separate bowl combine butter, egg and vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients with wet until well blended.
Use ungreased cookie sheets. Parchment baking paper works great. Drop by 1/2 teaspoon. Cook 5 minutes. Cool on sheets about 2 minutes before removing them to cooling rack.
Do not use more than 1/2 teaspoon to drop. The mixture spreads.
