Jicama Substitution


water chestnuts (sweeter and retain their crispiness when stir-fried)

or

Jerusalem artichoke (can be eaten raw, stay crunchy when stir-fried. and have an earthier, nuttier flavor)

or

tart apples  can be substituted for jicama.
