1 1/4 cup flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 cracked black pepper
12 oz killian’s red or other ale
3 maui onions
oil for deep frying
Combine flour, cornstarch and salt and pepper to taste in large bowl.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1-2 large onions; thinly sliced
sea salt
pepper
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
Heat oil in pan until haze forms.
Add onion slices, salt, and pepper.
Reduce heat, cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until onions turn limp and then brown.
This may take 20-30 minutes.
