Lime Sour Cream

1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice; or to taste
  Salt; to taste
  Freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
In a bowl whisk sour cream and lime juice with salt and pepper to taste.
Sauce may be made 1 day ahead and chilled, covered.

Tangy Blue Cheese Dip

1/2 cup blue cheese; crumbled
1 1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic; minced
1/8 teaspoon hot sauce
2 tablespoon fresh chives; finely chopped
Blend the blue cheese and sour cream thoroughly. Add all the other ingredients, blending well. Cover and chill.
Suggested dippers:
Carrots, Cherry Tomatoes, Pineapple, Apple, Pear, Cocktail Black Bread,
Italian or French Bread Chunks

Crab and Cream Cheese Dip

1 pound crabmeat; picked free of shell
8 ounces cream cheese; cut large dice
1 teaspoon hot sauce; or to taste
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish; or to taste
2 tablespoons Creole mustard or other coarse mustard
1 bunch green onions; thinly sliced
  Kosher salt; to taste
  Freshly ground black pepper; to taste

Taffy Apple Dip

3/4 cup brown sugar
8 oz cream cheese; softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
Process cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add vanilla and mix in well.
Serve with apple slices.

Orange-Ginger Dip

1 1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon orange zest
1/2 cup cream cheese; softened
1/4 cup orange juice
Beat the ginger and cream cheese to a smooth consistency, then add the sour cream, blending well. Add the orange juice and orange zest, blending well.
Cover and chill.

Cilantro Black Bean Dip

2 cups shoepeg corn; frozen and thawed
1 15 ounce can black beans; rinsed and drained
1 large tomato; chopped
3/4 cup sweet red pepper; chopped
1/2 cup red onion; chopped
1/2 cup italian salad dressing
1/4 cup fresh cilantro; minced
3/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Cinnamon Sour Cream

1 cup sour cream; can use nonfat
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Working in a small bowl and using a rubber spatula, thoroughly combine the ingredients.
Store covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve.  The cream will keep for about 1 week.
