Cranberry-Apple Cider

1 quart apple cider
1 quart cranberry juice cocktail
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Combine all of the ingredients in a 4-quart Dutch oven. Warm, over high heat, until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from the heat and serve.

Apple Cider Spice Bag

1  cheesecloth; cut into 8 inch square
12  whole cloves
6  whole allspice
2  stick cinnamon; broken
3  lemon peel strips
3  orange peel strips
Place all in center of cheesecloth. Bring up corners of cheesecloth and tie with clean string. Place in crockpot with apple cider.

Spicy Tomato Cocktail

1  cucumber
6 cup tomato juice
3  green onions; chopped
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 dash tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
Peel, remove seeds, and grate the cucumber.  Add cucumber to the tomato juice with the remaining ingredients.  Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
Strain before serving.

Lemonade

6  lemons
4 cups Water
1 cup Sugar

With a vegetable peeler remove zest from 4 lemons and squeeze enough juice from these and remaining lemons to measure 1 cup.
In a saucepan boil 2 cups water with sugar, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.  Add zest, lemon juice, and remaining water and cool.

Creamy Hot Chocolate

1/3 cup well-chilled heavy cream
1 tablespoon sugar
4 ounces fine-quality bittersweet chocolate; not unsweetened
2 cups whole milk

Cafe Au Lait

4 cups hot coffee
4 cups scalded milk
6  cinnamon sticks
Into 6 large mugs pour equal amounts of coffee and milk and garnish each serving a cinnamon stick.

Sparkling Punch

2 cans cranberry juice concentrate
1 liter sparkling wine
2 liters lemon-lime soda
Combine all the ingredients in a punch bowl.
You can add an ice ring with cranberries in it.
