Alcohol Substitutes for Cooking
Type of Alcohol
Substitute
Amaretto
Almond extract (1/2 teaspoon extract for 2 tablespoons of Amaretto).
Anisette
Anise Italian soda syrup or fennel.
Apple Brandy
Apple juice, unsweetened apple juice concentrate, apple cider, or apple butter.

1/4 cup instant minced onion
plus
2 tablespoons beef bouillion
plus
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
can be substituted for a 1 3/8 ounce onion soup mix package.
note: If using in uncooked recipes, refrigerate longer than usual.
